Welcome from our leader

Hello, my name is Justin Bevers, and I’m blessed to serve as your youth group leader here at Faith Lutheran Church. My wife Sarah and I are excited to relaunch our youth ministry and create a space where students can grow in faith, fellowship, and fun.

Our goal right now is to meet twice a month on Saturdays from 6-8 PM in the Community Center. Each gathering includes open gym time—a chance for students to hang out, play games, and build friendships—followed by a short devotion to center us on God’s Word.

Why Youth Ministry Matters

The teenage years are an exciting and challenging time. Students are asking questions about identity, faith, and the future. At Faith Lutheran, we believe youth ministry is essential for helping young people:

  • Grow in Christ through regular exposure to Scripture and prayer.

  • Build authentic friendships rooted in Christian community.

  • Serve others through acts of kindness, mission trips, and community outreach.

  • Develop lifelong faith that prepares them for high school, college, and beyond.

Confirmation Program

Confirmation is an important step in discipleship, giving students the opportunity to learn, grow, and affirm their faith publicly.

At Faith Lutheran, we offer a two-year program traditionally for 5th–8th grade students:

  • Year 1 – Focus on the Bible, learning its story, structure, and meaning for our lives.

  • Year 2 – Study Martin Luther’s Small Catechism, exploring the Ten Commandments, the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, Baptism, and Holy Communion.

Classes meet on an alternating schedule. At the end of the program, students participate in a public Affirmation of Faith during worship.

Join our Youth Team

Our youth ministry is strengthened by adults who care deeply about students. We’re always looking for new volunteers to join the Youth Team.

  • Who can join? Any adult with a heart for young people and a desire to serve.

  • What do we do? Meet monthly to pray, plan events, delegate responsibilities, and brainstorm ways to support our kids.

  • Why it matters? Youth need mentors and role models who encourage them in their faith journey.

If you’re interested in getting involved, please contact us—we’d love to plug you in.

How To Support

Through Prayer

Prayer is the most important support you can give. Please pray for:

  • Students growing up in safe, Christ-centered homes.

  • Those from broken homes or carrying heavy burdens.

  • Thanksgiving for loving families who model faith well.

  • Youth in need of strong friendships and caring mentors.

Through Giving

If you feel called to support financially, you can designate offerings to the Youth Fund or toward special events such as:

  • National Youth Gathering

  • Middle School Gatherings

  • Confirmation Retreats

  • Service projects and mission trips

Every gift helps us invest in students’ faith development.

Youth Schedule

Our youth calendar includes twice-monthly Saturday gatherings, seasonal retreats, and special events. Watch the church calendar for details on:

  • Regular gym & devotion nights

  • Confirmation classes and retreats

  • Service opportunities and outreach events

  • Larger gatherings with other LCMS youth groups

A place for every student

Youth ministry at Faith Lutheran isn’t just another program—it’s a place where students can feel known, loved, and supported as they grow in Christ. Whether through Bible study, fellowship, service, or worship, our mission is simple: to raise up the next generation of families and followers of Jesus Christ.

We invite you to join us—bring a friend, come to a Saturday night gathering, and be part of what God is doing in our youth community.
